Hey! I’m Espen!
Nice to meet you, and thanks for checking out Norrsken Designs. I started sewing bicycle bags in 2023 after I wanted to go bikepacking but couldn’t find the right gear that fit my frame perfectly.
Norrsken means the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis in Swedish. This name means a lot to me for two reasons: first, while I’m based in the DFW area, I have lived in Sweden which left a really big impact on me. Second, when I am not sewing bags I am usually studying space physics to get my Ph.D. The field of space physics studies the interactions between solar wind from the Sun and the magnetic field of Earth, which is the cause of our aurorae!
